Hello world!
Welcome to the Brewery History Society blog.
We hope this will become the home for stimulating discussions about British brewery history but please note that we are NOT a campaigning organisation so no strong opinions about businesses please. As we say in our membership documentation
The Society makes a conscious effort to cater for the needs of its members and, at the same time, seeks to become a respected body within the brewing industry. To this end the Society does not involve itself in the politics of brewing policy. Whilst the Society obviously regrets the closure of breweries our role is to record them, not to try and stop them.
Happy Blogging

How do I start a new item?
During a recent visit I came across an old brewery in Stoke on Trent
which I presume is the Dix & Co brewery in Shelton area
currently masquerading as a warehouse but in need of tlc
I have a photo- can it go on the blog and we see if we can get more info on its demise since 1933?

Hi Chris
Thanks for this - it sounds just what we are after and will be useful to see if it gets picked up by the search engines and available to the outside world.
To make a post you log in (towards the bottom of the LHS of the web site) and as an editor you should have an option on the screen displayed to make a post. As part of this on the RHS you will have alist of categories that you cann allocate it to, or you may be able to create a new one - not sure if thsi is there for Editors.
Let me know how you get on
Cheers

Jeff
Does that mean I have to resend the item as a ‘Post’
or can it be found as it is?
I also made a small edit - does that go through the moderator?
it seems to be on straight away.
cheers
