Wilson’s Brewery Ltd
My great, great grandfather, Joseph Worrall once owned this brewery. I am looking for any information about him and the brewery. Would appreciate any feedback.

Our flagship book - A Century of British Brewers Plus, covering around 10,000 British brewers operating between 1890 - 2004, lists Joseph Worrall at the Windsor Castle Brewery, 41 Castle Street, Edgley, Stockport (Greater Manchester) and says that this was founded by 1823 at the Windsor Castle public house and was acquired by JW in 1871. Later acquired by Wilson’s brewery in 1896 with 19 public houses.
Perhaps Joseph joined the board of Wilson’s after the takover?
Wilson’s later became part of the Watney empire.
