Bristol 1903 importer/exporter/brewer?

Hi, I’ve found fragments of pottery next to our Devon cottage bearing the letters ***N (the last letter only of a word) Read, and  “***orter of”   “& Spirits” along with the number “03″ which looks as if it was probably 4 digits, therefore I guess 1903. There is also an oval with the words PRICE and BRISTOL  curving around the inside of the oval with the letter G between them. All these embossed into the fragment of pitcher/pot/urn. As I am trying to trace the history of the 1850 (approx) cottage, and ideas as to the name, souce or contents of the pot most welcome! Thanks folks. - Tony.
