I sent some details based on pages 12-13 of Brian Bennison’s BHS book on the Brewers and Breweries of North-East England, but if anyone can add any more please add it to this thread.

This directory covers the areas of the old counties of Northumberland and Durham including the city of Newcastle. The entries are in place-name order and follow the usual BHS pattern of first-known reference, ownership, brewers-proprietors, and in most cases the final demise of the company. The entries range from a single line where nothing more is known about the brewery to a few pages for a well-documented brewer (e.g. Vaux). Source references accompany each entry, and an index is included.
